Rise and mine When you're playing a big board that's rated at a high difficulty, you will come across situations that require you to make a guess. You can try to find other ways around it but sometimes there is a 50/50 that you aren't going to find a way around. The best practice is to make the decision right away, that way if you make the wrong choice you can start over and you didn't waste too much time. But it can be difficult to make that decision. If I pick wrong then the game will be over, and I don't want it to be over. So sometimes I ignore the 50/50 and keep playing. There are other avenues that are flowing really nicely, you might even get through most of the board... but you can never complete the board until you make the tough decision you've been putting off. It's possible things will still work out, sure, but the longer you try to ignore it, the worse it feels when you click the mine and all your progress was for nothing.
