I started playing it during my free time at university a bit more than two years ago. One day, I found a Minesweeper app on the Play Store and downloaded it as a joke. At first, I just clicked randomly like everyone else, but eventually, I realized those numbers made sense. I tested it and, yeah, I was right. So I tried winning on Expert. It took me several days, maybe a couple of weeks, to get my first win, I even hit 999 on the timer. But when I finally won, it was obvious: I got hooked on this game. After that, I tried winning faster and eventually set myself the challenge to win without flags, and no joke, that helped me improve a lot. I kept lowering my times: sub-700, then 600... and so on. When I was hitting around 100 seconds, I found this site, which I found quite interesting because of all the categories that can be drawn from this game. So yeah, I got hooked on this game.
